The 2024 edition, with Ireland as the honored country, welcomed a delegation of 50 Irish representatives, reflecting a strong commitment to expanding collaborations and enhancing Franco-Irish exchanges around maritime technologies. Participants engaged in three high-level sessions and around 30 workshops covering a wide range of topics, including environmental issues, underwater cables, drones, security, AI, and more.
With 15% of attendees being students, Sea Tech Week® also served as a springboard for emerging talent, providing a unique space for learning and networking among future professionals in the field.
This year, Sea Tech Week® introduced its very first Job Dating event, where ten companies from various maritime sectors connected with young people and professionals seeking opportunities. This new format fostered direct and informal exchanges between recruiters and candidates, strengthening connections across generations and maritime talent.
Additionally, the exhibition hosted 35 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge maritime solutions in fields such as cybersecurity, renewable energy, and underwater surveillance. Visitors had the chance to discover these innovations and engage with companies, further solidifying the event’s impact as a catalyst for new collaborations.
In 2026, Sea Tech Week® will return with fresh ambitions to support the transition toward a more sustainable and secure maritime future, with Portugal as the country of honor.
