Why submit a challenge?

• To explore an idea, bring a project to fruition or overcome a technical obstacle.
• Form a multidisciplinary team to develop all aspects of their project.

What is a challenge?

A challenge in Ocean Hackathon® is either a simple idea, an idea that meets a need in the maritime community, or a more mature project that needs a helping hand or specific expertise. Challenge sponsors may be legal entities or individuals. 

To be considered, the challenge must :

• Have a link with the oceans and seas, their sustainable development and/or preservation
• Lead to new ideas and/or innovative solutions
• Be data-driven
• Require the development of a prototype during the event.
