COAST Centre for Ocean Applied Sustainable Technologies (2021) is Pacific Canada's hub for the sustainable blue economy. Our mission is to strengthen the West Coast’s role in the immense and emerging ocean and marine sectors, fostering innovation, nurturing community, and building inclusive prosperity in British Columbia along the way.
Ocean Networks Canada is a world-leading ocean observing facility hosted and owned by the University of Victoria (UVic). ONC delivers ocean data from its cabled, mobile and community-based observing networks that represent an essential component of Canada’s ocean observing science capacity. Ocean data are archived, processed and made freely available via ONC’s data management system, Oceans 3.0.
COAST and ONC join forces for the 2025 Ocean Hackathon®.
